Jack Wilson Rutherford was born in North Saskatchewan (30 years ago - 1918?). He distinguished himself as a fighter pilot in World War II. He was the first instructor to be stationed at Macleod airport and went overseas in 1942. He married Miss Jean Ryan of Pincher Creek in 1942 and had three children. He was an insurance and real estate agent Pincher Creek and also a licensed auctioneer. See the Lethbridge Herald, p.2, July 29, 1948.
